Straight to bed!

I'm crazy sleepy right now -.- I made the school boy error of watch a program about the best horror movies last night when I go home from work, bad move!!! I then had to stay up an other hour and watching something else to descare myself! It was about 2 in the morning then I dragged my ass to bed and now I am really suffering for it!! I don't want to be at work! I want my bed :'(

May have spoken too soon about the regumate, Belle was a cow today although not half as bad she was last time so it's clearly doing some good. 

Oh dear, stand back! There is a rant coming on!!

I am sick to death of answering the phone at work to take an order and the person on the other end being a git! There is really no need at all. Also there is one lady who rings a fair bit (fat cow) and knows I will also ask for her contact number and every time she has "forgotten" to get it out of her phone? Bull! You just can't be arsed you lazy cow!!

Also, you see a lot of this on Instagram and Facebook, people, many girls, who haven't had any professional training advertise them self as nails techs! 

Excuse me love, but do you actually know what you are doing? 

Oh so you have watched some YouTube  and bought a kit off eBay? Yeah sure come and butcher my nails!! 

I think not!!

Regumate - I love it!! (Not for me obviously)

So Belle has been in Regumate for 3 days now and she is a million times better!! No more moody mare who doesn't listen :D so happy!! It's well worth the money if it actually works! 

Belle also tried on her new fleece....

But it was taken off again as not to get mucky and will be saved for shows :D 

So have decided that once I have finished my gel nail course I will move on to a spa mani and pedi course, but I will wait till I have earned enough from doing gels to pay for the course. Hopefully once I get up and running I can cut down how many nights a week I do at the pizza shop. I only just started 5 nights a week last week and I already want a week off!!

Man I miss holiday pay :(

But oh well. I hope, with in the next 18 months, to have built up and reasonable client base that lets me at least half the amount of nights I have to work, if not more than that.

SHOPPING!!!

So went to bramham today with my mum and it was awesome!! Got some awesome stuff too. Got a lovely purple and grey show fleece for belle, some grey tendon boots, shampoo and some treats. Then for me I got a lovely navy showing jacket (only £14!!) a Ryedale hoodie, a new dandy brush and I think that's it :) will take a picture of belle in her stuff tomorrow :D also wanted to get belle a leather head collar but couldn't afford on after everything else :( might have to wait till HOYS to get her on of those. 

Anyway off to bed as I need to be up early to go yell at this bank -.- woo fun times!

I don't have pump and the nuts are on too tight!!

So about to leave the stables and my front drivers side tyre is flat! 

FUCK! 

The plan was to limp poor daisy to the service station near the yard but we didn't think she would make it so tried to take the tyre off. Nope not happening either! The nuts were crazy tight and so I couldn't do it :( ended up ringing my brother who came and helped get it off. Now need a new tyre added to the never ending list of horse and car ownership -.-

On the plus side belle was good today, did some over due schooling and she went lovely plus I think the regumate stuff is really working for her she is fab atm!! And god I love my new boots!!! Off to bramham horse trials with my mum tomorrow and already think of the thinks I'm going to buy!! Fly spray, tendon boots, fetlock boots, shampoo :D exiting!!!

Well hot air rises so it cool down here

So, yeah I'm sat on the floor at work learning against the walk in freezer :) and nice and cool down here so I'm happy but my boss did give me a funny look :S ooops.

Lauren and myself took the horses on an exploring hack today to try out a new bridle way didnt really lead anywhere but it was a giggle so not a wasted trip. Belle was perfectly behaved till I asked her to go through a gap, then she wouldn't stand still and was dancing around. Went for a trot and she tried to canter so I made her walk while Kenny trotted and she tried to rear -.- flipping horse, although once we got out of the village she was prefect again! I do love my mares mood swings lol. But she is now on regumate which would help a lot, I hope :)

Belle is in season again...yay -.- hopeful she won't be as bad this time round as I'm spent a lot of money on some stuff what will hopefully calm her down :) 

I ended up hacking my nails off to a crappy little length and then tipping them!

 

Here are the tips uncut, I don't get how people with nails that long can cope! Honestly I could barely pick up my cuppa tea!!

Take the plunge?

Again at work, again bored! My problem is when I'm bored I pick at my nails, and got forbid I find a lifting edge...crap all the  gel has lifted off -.- well I was getting a bit bored of the pink anyway and tomorrow is my day off so will have time to redo them. The dilemma is whether or not to up tips on myself, I'm getting rather good (honest!!) so I think I could do my left hand pretty well. It will be my right I will have problems with :S hmm might have to try it and just wing it!! Will need to be able to do it any way as my nails are getting bad :S 

This is the current state for my right hand, sure doing my own tips will look better than this...?

And it not like I will give my self talons, just a nice length with either French white tips or glitter tips.

I did glitter tips this morning on my nail trainer and added little gems along the smile like which matched the glitter I had used :) was rather happy with them and looked very pretty.

Not perfect by any stretch but still...

Well the good, the bad or the ugly there will be picture of them up tomorrow with what ever I do!

No! Don't try and bite his arse!!

So Lauren and myself took Kenny and Belle out for a hack today, I was going to do some schooling but it was too hot and I couldn't be bothered. The horses are getting on well :) Belle only tried to bite Kenny once so all was good :) 

I need to hack to chill me out as Barclays Bank is driving me insane, I was told they would shift some money (a fair sized wad too) from an old account to me new one. Said it would take 48 hours, 48 hours later no money... So I rang up 'oh sorry miss Stephenson it will take 5 working days' 6 days later still no money... Then got a letter today say 'thanks for choosing us, the transfer will take 15 days' HOLD UP!!!! You said 48hours!! Not 360 hours!! So you can't get my money sort out yet when you wanted money from me if goes out the exact day you say it does?! Arrrrggggg!! Tempted to take all my money and keep it in a jar under my bed, then I can get it when I want!!!

Nope, can't find it!

Inspiration. Often a word which strikes fear in to the minds of the normal creative...

I need to think of a name for my nail business (once I get qualified and set up) but I keep falling short when I try! Maybe that's due to it being 1.17am at the moment and I just need to sleep, also I maybe jumping ahead of myself as I'm not yet ready to start a client base :S although I did do Lauren's nails today and they turned out rather well :) see below...

I want something along the lines of, Dare 2 as that is the name of my polishes and I'm rather fond of it :) still not sure though :( 

On a brighter note Lauren and myself took Belle and Kenny (grey Connemara, Lauren's pony) for a hack to day and both where well behaved! Out ponies have always got along maybe as they have, up until now, been geldings. Throw a mare in the mix and not so great but today both were on their best behaviour, we were very pleased

Anyway, Lauren's nails! 

Just too easy!

It is far to easy to buy online!! You could be casually looking a uv nail polish and the bam! You've spent £160 (or is that just me) if for example you are buying something in a shop, while you are waiting in the line for the cash out you have time to think *do I really NEED these shoes...?* bad example you always need shoes! *do I really NEED this top?* where as buying online all you do is add to basket and click ship, and done! You are the owner of a god awful dress that looks like a sack on anybody! They should have a little timer on the checkout page called *are you sure you need this* pause although that might cut down business, maybe I should just get one for my laptop...

I for example wanted a really pretty nail polish roll thing that is £10 but then I saw a little case and you get a matching roll!! Ooooh pretty and only £19.99!!

Crap I just doubled what I intended on spending but without a second thought I was on the conformation page tell me it will be with me in 2/4 working days.

She gets a day off but I don't

So when I got the stables today belle was grazing out in the field, so I did all my jobs (muck out, get clear water, hay nets) also it was my day to clean the fields. But io course it was raining I got wet -.- belle was happy as larry with her grass. I left it last minuet to bring her in and put her rug on so she had a day off. When do I get a day off? Well tomorrow technically but have a lot to do so I don't :( 

I seem to spends most of my time at work on forums, whether it be on Horse and Hound or Saloon Geek (nail section). There are some really interesting posts :) 

I did my first set of Gelax nails on my self today!! It was from the Crystal range called Sherry Baby. Looks lovely but will see how long it's lasts, says up to two weeks but with a horse....hmm we shall see! 

Also attacked my mums credit card again with the email code I got from EN last night, 5 new Gelax polishes should be here be tomorrow!! Along with some other stuff but that's not as exciting ;)

I didn't die and I got 30% off

Took belle out today with Major (lovely grey cob) and she was brilliantly behaved! To say she does like being out on her own she strides in front of anybody she is with! Maybe she is still racing minded and wants to win.

Got an email from Essential Nails saying I have an item left in my basket from when they had the 30% off day. Then went on to say 'we recognise you would still want the 30% off!' So have given me a code that lasts all week!!! Well thank you, I'll take that and go spend some money money!! 4 new polishes? Yes please!! Saved about £20 so very happy!

Belle walkies!!

OMG the pain! I had a lessons with my yard owner on Saturday and it was brilliant belle went amazingly very happy with her but then Sunday walking down the stairs was the most painful thing ever!! I have pulled my quads but only in my left leg was worth it though :)

Yesterday due to the heat and belle already very hot in her stable I didn't want to school her so wanted to go for a hack, she isn't the best horse to hack on her own so want to go with somebody, but there wasn't anybody to go with :( so there was me walking down the road with a big ass thoroughbred leading her -.- felt slight better when I found out my mum had taken one of our cats for a walk (he has issues) we might as well get a dog!!

So might have gotten a but carried away with my nail comp ideas :( found it didn't work as well as I hoped and so had to adapt it :( and the adaptation isn't going well either. My feeling I could have a good chance of winning are running off and hiding :(

Oh well better get up now...

You know when you get an idea in your mind then your imagination take a fancy to it and nicks it and they have a fling? Well that just happened!

Really need to stop blogging at work, keep getting interrupted by rude people wanting pizzas! -.-

Anyway, I was struggling to think of a unique concept for a nail art competition, then my idea hit me in the face on Facebook (of all places) it will take time but man I'm excited about!! Will post pictures once I enter, don't want people to steal my idea ;)

Also started my assessment nails that will be sent off today but after seeing some feedback on others on Essential Nails Facebook page I may need to have another look :S

Belle's cuddles trick is coming on well, it does help she is a very clever mare, makes training her a million times easier :D

Side note, why is the word unique so special? It's seems to be the only word that begins with a vowel which, if it follow a, then a doesn't change a "an"  -.- that's the English a level student in me waking up, better go before I rewrite my whole post.

But look how much I saved!!!

Ooops! Maybe went a touch crazy on a spending spree today :S I got an email from essential nails who I do my gel course with say "hey look 30% off EVERYTHING today!!" How is a girl to say no? I had my sensible head on, thinking okay I can get a few more files, buffer blocks, sanitizer spray and wipe off solution while its in sale! Great plan! Then I saw the tips were on offer so got some of those then the glue bottle nozzles too then sensible Kim got kicked off the laptop and 'ooooh that's a pretty polish' jumped on! So top and base coat got added (which to be fair are very useful things to have!) and then 7 polishes...spent about £110, but I saved about £40!!! So totally worth it!!

I did my own gels this morning with a ton of dusty pink glitter!! Love how the came out and they lasted great being down at the stables sorting Belle! May have cracked how to stop them lifting!!

Started teaching Belle to "cuddle" today!! That mare will do anything for a treat! I'll post a pic tomorrow of her progress :)

Extra day, extra money!

I got told today that the other lady I work with is willing to give up one of her days and so I can have it! It's such a weight to be lifted as since buy my car I gave been on the skinter side of things :S but this extra day will help an incredible amount!! 

Did some schooling with Belle today and my YO said to let go a bit as I'm holding her back in trot and so she isn't working correctly. I did so and the improvement was instant! I feel bad for holding her so tight and telling her off when she acted up as all she wanted was for me to let go of her mouth!! 

Also bought a new brush today for putting glitter on nails and got some new tips on applying, maybe now they won't ping off as easy...I'll try in the morning and post some pictures.

"Careful as she will get the better of you"

So my yard owner said I should start taking Belle out on hacks again (a few weeks ago I had gone out on my own and all hell broke lose meaning me doing the walk of shame back to the yard leading Belle). So I went out with my friend Lauren and a pony named Ted, she was totally chilled and very good until we got to the grass bridle way and I asked for trot...she tried to canter off totally ignoring my attempts to pull her up. Managed to stop and turn around and Lauren suggested we trot back que belle breaking back in to canter -.- once back on the roads she was fine! Good as gold again, maybe shouldn't have bought a ex race horse -.-

YO said I need to nip the bad behaviour in the bud or she will know she can get away with it, and then I'll have some really problems. 

Belle is a pain at times but I do love her.

Shall I start from scratch?

So by now I was meant to be in Canada, living there with my brother for a few months. This had been my plan since I was 15, now 2 months in to said planned trip and I'm still in Yorkshire...sliver lining? I bought Belle. An under weight, under worked and slightly skitty ex race horse...hmm. But I do love her, even when she is trying to bronc off across the arena I walk in her stable, look at her and know she is mine. 

Another sliver lining? I figured out what I want to do! Nails have always been a passion if mine (long before horses actually) so now doing a gel course so I can be a nail tech. Yet that seems like a long way off from where I'm sitting (stuck in a corner of a pizza shop taking orders, but hey it pays the bills, just) 

But I will make, at some, I have the will power! The same as I have the will power to get Belle jumping by the autumn, although maybe need to work on her picking up the correct canter lead on the left rein...
