Free Hand Nail

Evening all...

I took GSCE art when I was at school as I loved to draw, in my final year of school I had the root of all evil as my art teacher! He was a horrible man who seem to find great pleasure is belittling everybody and he completely put me off.
Fast forward about 5 years and I just getting back in to painting, only on a much smaller scale.

I started off with some one stroke nails on my friend Lauren:

Then to some doodles on myself last night:

And then the flower that I did tonight:

I'm really happy with all of the both, I used acrylic paint for the art rather than nail polish and a detail brush which I have cut to make it finer.

Please let me know what you think in the comments :)

One Stroke Nails - first attempt!

Eveing all!

Last night I did my lovely friend Lauren's nails. I love doing her nails as she is pretty much my nail art guinea pig, she let's me have full rein on what ever I put on her nails from a full gel manicure to fancy nail art.
This time I opted to have a bash at one stroke flowers, now there are quite a few tutorial kicking about on YouTube but the one I found the most helpful is this one:
It shows lots of differnt ways to do differnt flowers and she does it on a bit of paper so it nice and big so clear to see.

Here is my attempt at them:

I used OPI nail envy for the base, Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream and them just acrylic paint for the flowers, with a gel top coat so they last a little while longer!

I'm pretty happy with them if I'm honestly and I really enjoyed creating them! Please leave me a comment on what you think!

Saffron London - Nail Polish Remover (My First Review)

Good evening all!

I have deciding to take blogging back up as I quite enjoy rambling on about either my horse or my nails. So I'm going to start with a review (exciting right?)

Today I bought a Saffron London - Dip and Clean (I believe that to be the correct nail) from my local beauty shop, I've been using the Bourjois one which, although isn't great for glitter bombs is still pretty damn good for regular polish!
Here is what it looks like:-

It only cost me £1.50 which is why I wanted to try it as it much cheaper than the Bourjois equivalent and there is a reason for that!
Although this product is good and does work it takes a lot longer to remove the polish than the others do, which is a shame as the pink one I bought has a nice smell to it. Another down side is my fingers do feel abit dry a few minuets after being soaked which is something I've not noticed before with the Bourjois.

Hoof rating (yes I'm making it a thing!): 2.5/5 as you need to have your nail in it for longer and this seems to have a drying effect on my nails.

Let me know what you think of my first review!

Straight to bed!

I'm crazy sleepy right now -.- I made the school boy error of watch a program about the best horror movies last night when I go home from work, bad move!!! I then had to stay up an other hour and watching something else to descare myself! It was about 2 in the morning then I dragged my ass to bed and now I am really suffering for it!! I don't want to be at work! I want my bed :'(

May have spoken too soon about the regumate, Belle was a cow today although not half as bad she was last time so it's clearly doing some good.

Oh dear, stand back! There is a rant coming on!!

I am sick to death of answering the phone at work to take an order and the person on the other end being a git! There is really no need at all. Also there is one lady who rings a fair bit (fat cow) and knows I will also ask for her contact number and every time she has "forgotten" to get it out of her phone? Bull! You just can't be arsed you lazy cow!!

Also, you see a lot of this on Instagram and Facebook, people, many girls, who haven't had any professional training advertise them self as nails techs!
Excuse me love, but do you actually know what you are doing?
Oh so you have watched some YouTube  and bought a kit off eBay? Yeah sure come and butcher my nails!!
I think not!!

Arr so much stress! I need sleep!

Regumate - I love it!! (Not for me obviously)

So Belle has been in Regumate for 3 days now and she is a million times better!! No more moody mare who doesn't listen :D so happy!! It's well worth the money if it actually works!

Belle also tried on her new fleece....

But it was taken off again as not to get mucky and will be saved for shows :D

So have decided that once I have finished my gel nail course I will move on to a spa mani and pedi course, but I will wait till I have earned enough from doing gels to pay for the course. Hopefully once I get up and running I can cut down how many nights a week I do at the pizza shop. I only just started 5 nights a week last week and I already want a week off!!
Man I miss holiday pay :(

But oh well. I hope, with in the next 18 months, to have built up and reasonable client base that lets me at least half the amount of nights I have to work, if not more than that.

Chase, catch, live the dream!

I don't have pump and the nuts are on too tight!!

So about to leave the stables and my front drivers side tyre is flat!
FUCK!
The plan was to limp poor daisy to the service station near the yard but we didn't think she would make it so tried to take the tyre off. Nope not happening either! The nuts were crazy tight and so I couldn't do it :( ended up ringing my brother who came and helped get it off. Now need a new tyre added to the never ending list of horse and car ownership -.-

On the plus side belle was good today, did some over due schooling and she went lovely plus I think the regumate stuff is really working for her she is fab atm!! And god I love my new boots!!! Off to bramham horse trials with my mum tomorrow and already think of the thinks I'm going to buy!! Fly spray, tendon boots, fetlock boots, shampoo :D exiting!!!
